No. PolicyOptic organizes the facts in your documents — what each one covers, where they differ, and what may need clarification. Insurance advice and recommendations come from a licensed insurance professional, not from PolicyOptic.

Yes. Uploaded policies, renewals, and quotes are private by default. Your information is shared with an insurance professional only if you request quotes through the Marketplace or otherwise choose to share it.

No. Marketplace brokers see the details needed to evaluate an opportunity — not your contact information — until you've authorized sharing it.

How many brokers see my information if I request a quote?

Only one. Each Marketplace opportunity is sold to a single insurance professional and removed from the Marketplace once purchased — it's never resold or reshared, so you won't get calls from multiple brokers competing over the same request.

Do brokers who pay more get better treatment or higher-ranked opportunities?

Accepted Answer

No. Marketplace fees have no effect on how your documents are read or organized. PolicyOptic's factual review is the same regardless of what any professional pays.

What does "Not Stated" mean on my review?

It means that detail wasn't found in the documents we reviewed — not that it isn't covered. A licensed insurance professional can confirm what your policy actually includes.

What if PolicyOptic misreads something in my document?

You can review and correct any extracted detail. Your confirmation is saved and won't be silently overwritten by later analysis.

Basic vessel details are free. Maintaining the full history — service records, repairs, and photos — is $9.99/month or $97/year. The paid tier is what turns your Boat Passport into that transferable record — the free tier covers vessel basics, but service records, repairs, and photos are what make the history worth something to a future buyer.

What happens to my Boat Passport if I stop paying for the paid tier?

It downgrades to the basic vessel and owner details needed to request insurance quotes. Service documents, photos, and equipment lists are deleted and would need to be recreated if you upgrade again.

No. You can request new marine insurance quotes through the Marketplace, upload quotes you already have to understand them, or both.

No. Every opportunity is sold to one professional only. Once purchased, it's removed from the Marketplace.
